  Light Rail Station Design
    Regional Transportation District, Denver
    West Corridor Light Rail Line

Tully worked on a design team in 2002 to integrate artistic concepts into the initial 30% construction drawings for a future light rail line.   The design team included another artist, Jim Green, public art consultant Rebecca Banyas, architects from Parsons, Sasaki Associates and RTD, and a landscape architect.   The artists designed the station canopy that will be used on the first half of the line, responding to both historic and park settings. An artists' sketchbook was produced that will be referenced for later design stages.   It suggests a station area or "gateway" for each station and covers ideas for fencing, walls, sound, and light fixtures.   It lists station material palettes and design principles for the line. Locations were identified for specific artworks.
