  “Double Hope Spire”
    Blue-gray granite, 75" x 24" x 6"

This spire is one of a series that started when the artist made a gateway sculpture to Colorado State University, which was a curving row of spires from 3 to 24 feet high. The artist then made smaller, garden spires inspired by traditional obelisks, but instead of being purely geometric representing the abstract perfection of an afterlife, they are organic in shape, evoking the here and now. Each has polished planes and curves, split stones surfaces and chiseled details. Unlike most obelisks, Double Hope Spire has two points, a more casual form.

  "Tall Spire"
    (for Here and Now)
     Blue-gray granite, 8’6" x 1" x 7"

Tall Spire is meant to be graceful yet in keeping with nature’s raw simplicity.

This spire, like the others, has a stainless steel rod as a center post that is to be embedded in a concrete pier in the ground. The spires can be moved with a group of people or with equipment.

Views of other sides of the sculptures can be seen by appointment or by photos on request.
  "Four Muses"
     Spire Series

The same spires can be added to others to form a group, which may be suitable for larger locations. The configuration can vary to create different spatial relationships.
