"Soft Gold Park Sidewalk Design"
City of Fort Collins, Colorado |
| |
Soft gold refers to beaver pelts, the product of the fur trade in the 1820 to 1840s in the vicinity of this park by the Cache La Poudre River. The sidewalk design was developed to denote a stream crossed by logs cut by beavers. The concrete was scored in a curving fashion. A special, opaque concrete stain was applied. The artwork "Trade Beads" accompanies this design in the same park. Approximately 30 x 150 feet. 2004. |
